GODHEAD To Join MINISTRY Tour?
June 13, 2003GODHEAD are strongly rumored to be one of the bands being considered for MINISTRY's upcoming festival tour, tentatively scheduled to kick off in late July.
"I know MINISTRY is putting together this kind of outdoor festival thing with OGHR [featuring SKINNY PUPPY frontman Nivek Ogre, a.k.a. Kevin Ogilvie], THE REVOLTING COCKS, and JELLO BIAFRA, and about five other bands," GODHEAD frontman Jason Miller said. "If that comes together we're definitely up for that."
MINISTRY will start the still-unnamed festival July 26 or 27, and it will run through September 1. Dates are being solidified and the full line-up has yet to be announced.
GODHEAD's new album, "Evolver", is set for release July 15 through new label, Reality Entertainment. The band were initially signed to MARILYN MANSON's Posthuman Records, but record label woes and consolidation eventually forced Manson to pull the plug on the company after just one album, 2001's "2000 Years Of Human Error".
GODHEAD's "Evolver" features the guitar work of Reeves Gabrels of THE CURE and DAVID BOWIE fame, and it also includes guest vocals by STATIC-X frontman Wayne Static.
